There is nothing better than fresh vegetables from the garden. Fresh tomatoes brings back memories of growing up and spending time with my grandparents. They always had the juiciest tomatoes ever, and they were so delicious! This year I wanted something simple so I planted tomatoes, bell peppers, and Serrano peppers. I started my seedlings indoors using a new method (new to me)... toilet paper rolls. I have been hoarding toilet paper rolls in my bathroom drawer for a few months, and my husband probably thought I was a huge pack rat!

I know without a doubt I will not be partaking in the National Internet Unplugged Day as I am currently on my computer blogging about it. I am always mildly curious as to what the different dates are, for instance National Chocolate Day (my favorite), National Pi Day and so on. I decided to check out what was in store for March 23, 2012 and National Internet Unplugged Day really got me thinking. This is an absolute great Day! However I think it should not be limited to just one day. Don't get me wrong, I love the internet. I thrive on it. With that being said, I feel most of us (myself included) should step away from the computer, and not just the computer, but our cell phones and all electronics and get back to what is important and real. Take a walk, take the kids to the park, go on a hike with your family. Get outside! This reminds me of the last time I took my little boy to the park, there were 2 other moms there with their kiddos. Both of the moms were sitting on a bench completely absorbed into their cellphones. One mom would every so often tell her little boy to be careful without looking up to see what he was doing, the other little boy said "look at me mommy" at least six times before she would pry her gaze from her phone. I'm not saying I am perfect, believe me I am not, but if I am taking my little boy to the park, he is going to have all of my attention! I digress! I will not be completely unplugged today but I will be spending more quality time with my loved ones. Enjoy your little ones!
This is my second time curling my hair like this and I have to say, I was just as pleased with the results the second time around. Super easy, super cute curls on dry hair with just a headband. My complete tutorial is here.
I love, LOVE, love lasagna! I made these rolls for dinner tonight and my 13 month old devoured his!
Lasagna Rolls are such a fun twist on the traditional lasagna. This recipe can be made in many different ways, add ground beef, ground turkey, tofu, spinach, mushrooms, even chicken. You can't go wrong! This is a perfect freeze and eat later recipe... you can freeze individual rolls on a cookie sheet and then place in a freezer bag.
I love curly hair, but never curl my hair anymore because I have too much hair and it takes too long to curl and the heat is too damaging. This way is so much better... NO HEAT and it left my hair curly, just the way I wanted it AND it didn't take very much time to do it! If your hair is like mine and doesn't hold the curl long then use gel or another product you like. If you have any questions, shoot me a comment!
Here is my hair before...

This was the cake I made for my son's first birthday. It was so easy to make. I used food coloring to make the cake blue, added a few m&m's and fruit by the foot rollups for the bow and ribbon and voila... Super cute, fun cake that makes you smile!
