WARNING*** these little bastards are very addictive!
1 1/4-1 1/2 sleeves of saltine crackers (yes sounds odd)
12 oz bag chocolate chips
1 1/4 C. brown sugar
1 1/4 C. butter
Watch out! These ingredients combined are a dangerous mix!
I didn't take a photo of this but to start, line a cookie sheet with foil (you can spray the foil with pam to make the removal easier). Line the cookie sheet with a single layer of crackers. Use broken crackers to fill in any open areas on the sides of the cookie sheet. This usually takes about 1 and 1/4-1/2 sleeve of crackers. Set aside. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Add 1 1/4 cups of butter and 1 1/4 cups of brown sugar in a sauce pan and cook over medium heat. Once it is boiling cook for 3 minutes, stir often.
Put in the refrigerator for about 2 hours or until the chocolate is hard.
Once chocolate is hard, remove from the cookie sheet and break in pieces. Be careful! Some of the foil may stick to the chocolate.
You don't have to wait until Christmas to make this... Try making this with white chocolate and a red candy topping for Valentine's day!
Enjoy your crack.
