I love being a mom to boys but come on, I have an inner diva that needs to be free! Now what can I do for my first girly craft? Baby girl is only 5 weeks old and she already has a nice collection of hairbows and headbands. They need a home! Let me also say, I am not one of those people who dresses their child in an oversized hairbow so that she can be mistaken for a colorful rooster... I'm not! Okay I do put them on her for pictures... but that's it... Honest! Anyway, lets get crafting! &nbsp;</div><div><!--BLOG_SUMMARY_END--></div><div><div class="wsite-image wsite-image-border-none" style="padding-top:10px;padding-bottom:10px;margin-left:0;margin-right:0;text-align:center"><a><img src="https://www.swearingmoms.com/uploads/8/4/8/1/8481184/9479218.jpg?605" alt="Picture" style="width:605;max-width:100%"></a><div style="display:block;font-size:90%"></div></div></div><div class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">You will need...<br><ul><li>a frame</li><li>hooks</li><li>ribbon</li><li>material</li><li>hot glue gun</li><li>paint (if you want to paint the frame)</li><li>cute decoration (optional)</li></ul>I had the frame, ribbon, and hooks already. The hooks had old paint on them so I cleaned them up and painted them pink. I planned on painting the frame pink but later decided it would be too much pink (yes you CAN have too much pink) so I left the frame as is. I paid a total of $2.50 for this project. Not bad!&nbsp;</div><div><div class="wsite-image wsite-image-border-none" style="padding-top:10px;padding-bottom:10px;margin-left:0;margin-right:0;text-align:center"><a><img src="https://www.swearingmoms.com/uploads/8/4/8/1/8481184/7789252.jpg?508" alt="Picture" style="width:508;max-width:100%"></a><div style="display:block;font-size:90%"></div></div></div><div class="paragraph" style="text-align:center;">The first thing I did was spend about 5 hours putting the hooks in and making sure they were equally spaced... So add some hooks... then I hot glued 3 strips of ribbon to the back of the frame.&nbsp;</div><div><div class="wsite-image wsite-image-border-none" style="padding-top:10px;padding-bottom:10px;margin-left:0;margin-right:0;text-align:center"><a><img src="https://www.swearingmoms.com/uploads/8/4/8/1/8481184/9292373.jpg?497" alt="Picture" style="width:497;max-width:100%"></a><div style="display:block;font-size:90%"></div></div></div><div class="paragraph" style="text-align:center;">Then I started hot gluing the material to the back of the frame. I marked my board at 9 inches to make each square even.<br></div><div><div class="wsite-image wsite-image-border-thin" style="padding-top:10px;padding-bottom:10px;margin-left:0;margin-right:0;text-align:center"><a><img src="https://www.swearingmoms.com/uploads/8/4/8/1/8481184/6557763.jpg?308" alt="Picture" style="width:auto;max-width:100%"></a><div style="display:block;font-size:90%"></div></div></div><div class="paragraph" style="text-align:center;">I had to use a knife to cut my smaller squares and I made a huge mess! Floral boards "snow" when you cut them. I wish I could tell you that I used some fancy iron on backing or glue or something but I didn't. I used... Duct tape! Yes I did. I am obsessed with turquoise and orange right now and I had some left over twine from when I made a few plant hanger... perfect! Thank you to <a target="_blank" href="http://redefiningc.blogspot.com/2011/05/live-laugh-love-milk-bottles-diy.html">Redefining C</a> for the uber awesome idea! Now I am doing mine a little different but they still turned out similar.<br></div><div><div class="wsite-image wsite-image-border-none" style="padding-top:10px;padding-bottom:10px;margin-left:0;margin-right:0;text-align:center"><a><img src="https://www.swearingmoms.com/uploads/8/4/8/1/8481184/7184637.png?600" alt="Picture" style="width:auto;max-width:100%"></a><div style="display:block;font-size:90%"></div></div></div><div class="paragraph" style="text-align:center;">I used the tall bottles and poured white paint inside and swirled the bottle around until the entire bottle was covered. I let it dry upside down for a day to make sure it was dry. I haven't done anything with the smaller bottle yet! I painted the lids brown. (Funny: My husband thought they were little chocolate candies and got excited! ha) Sorry dear you can't eat these!&nbsp;<br></div><div><div class="wsite-image wsite-image-border-none" style="padding-top:10px;padding-bottom:10px;margin-left:0;margin-right:0;text-align:center"><a><img src="https://www.swearingmoms.com/uploads/8/4/8/1/8481184/181780.png?571" alt="Picture" style="width:auto;max-width:100%"></a><div style="display:block;font-size:90%"></div></div></div><div class="paragraph" style="text-align:right;">There are two different ways I played around with. The first one is the<a title="" href="https://www.swearingmoms.com/coffee-mug-holder.html">&nbsp; transfer method</a>. I transferred the letters to the bottle then tried to paint them but the letters did not look good. Now a sharpie would work just fine!<br></div><div><div class="wsite-image wsite-image-border-none" style="padding-top:10px;padding-bottom:10px;margin-left:0;margin-right:0;text-align:center"><a><img src="https://www.swearingmoms.com/uploads/8/4/8/1/8481184/987498.png?568" alt="Picture" style="width:auto;max-width:100%"></a><div style="display:block;font-size:90%"></div></div></div><div class="paragraph" style="text-align:center;">The way I ended up doing is cutting out the letters individually (I left a little flap so I could hold that and not get paint on me). I painted the letters with 2 coats to get even coverage.<br></div><div><div class="wsite-image wsite-image-border-none" style="padding-top:10px;padding-bottom:10px;margin-left:0;margin-right:0;text-align:center"><a><img src="https://www.swearingmoms.com/uploads/8/4/8/1/8481184/3539904.png?547" alt="Picture" style="width:auto;max-width:100%"></a><div style="display:block;font-size:90%"></div></div></div><div class="paragraph" style="text-align:center;">I then cut a square of packing tape a little bit larger than the letter. Don't worry about the little air circles. You can't see them once the letters are on the bottle!<br></div><div><div class="wsite-image wsite-image-border-none" style="padding-top:10px;padding-bottom:10px;margin-left:0;margin-right:0;text-align:center"><a><img src="https://www.swearingmoms.com/uploads/8/4/8/1/8481184/7518670.png?445" alt="Picture" style="width:auto;max-width:100%"></a><div style="display:block;font-size:90%"></div></div></div><div class="paragraph" style="text-align:center;">I taped the letters onto the bottle starting from the bottom of the bottle. Do this to all three bottles. Recap the bottles with the lids and wrap some twine or a ribbon or something fun around the top!<br></div><div><div class="wsite-image wsite-image-border-none" style="padding-top:10px;padding-bottom:10px;margin-left:0;margin-right:0;text-align:center"><a><img src="https://www.swearingmoms.com/uploads/8/4/8/1/8481184/4320461.png?613" alt="Picture" style="width:auto;max-width:100%"></a><div style="display:block;font-size:90%"></div></div></div><div class="paragraph" style="text-align:center;">Viola!
