After giving birth to 5 sons I did the impossible... gave birth to a human girl! My first thought... oh the endless craft ideas! Not that I couldn't do a lot of crafty creations for boys, I mean there are lots of cool stuff for boys... like trucks and dirt... and more dirt? I love being a mom to boys but come on, I have an inner diva that needs to be free! Now what can I do for my first girly craft? Baby girl is only 5 weeks old and she already has a nice collection of hairbows and headbands. They need a home! Let me also say, I am not one of those people who dresses their child in an oversized hairbow so that she can be mistaken for a colorful rooster... I'm not! Okay I do put them on her for pictures... but that's it... Honest! Anyway, lets get crafting!
You will need...
The first thing I did was spend about 5 hours putting the hooks in and making sure they were equally spaced... Okay it didn't take 5 hours but I am so picky about things that I did spend a horrid amount of time measuring... So add some hooks... then I hot glued 3 strips of ribbon to the back of the frame.
Then I started hot gluing the material to the back of the frame. I left about a half inch of material all around the frame and folded it back and hot glued it down.
This is what the back look like all finished.
Almost done! You can stop here or add decorations to cuten it up... If cuten is not a word, then I am making it a word!
There are so many ways to decorate. I thought of gluing on buttons or her initials, but I settled on this. I liked the colors and gems.
Just glue on your decor and that's it! Easy peasy.
Not bad for a couple of dollars! If you liked this project let me know!
