Brown rice is tricky to make. Here is a way to make brown rice without making a bowl of mush!
Ingredients:
Brown rice (I used 2 cups) water (I used 8 cups of water) Salt and pepper to taste Directions: Rinse rice in cold water. Bring a water to boil over high heat. Add rice to boiling water, give it a quick stir. Turn heat to medium and cook uncovered for 30 minutes. Stir occasionally. After 30 minutes, drain the water. Return the rice to pot and cover, off the heat. Let rice steam for 10 minutes. Uncover, fluff with fork, add salt and pepper to taste. *Use approximately four cups of water for every one cup of rice.
