Shut the front door, what the fork! Holy meatballs! If you are livin' the low carb life and have not tried a CHAFFLE then you are missing out!!! You need this in your life... yesterday! You may be asking just what is a chaffle? It is a super easy mixture of cheese and an egg cooked in a waffle maker to give you a yummy sandwich bread, go beyond this for yummy waffles! Trust me... it's a game changer.
Let's skip straight to the recipe! Ingredients: 1 egg 1/2-1C shredded cheese (any kind) Directions: Heat up your waffle maker. In a bowl mix egg and cheese. (you can try the 1/2c cheese but I like a thicker "bread" and use closer to 1 cup). Spray waffle maker with spray oil and spread mixture in iron. Cook until a pretty brown as above. See below for photos. Dude it is that easy! I added a touch of garlic to mine for my triple turkey sandwich (turkey deli meat, turkey bacon, turkey pepperoni) with avocado, pickles, and mayo. It was so tasty and did not taste like cheese and egg, I honestly thought I was eating bread! This is perfect for cheeseburgers, breakfast sandwiches, mini pizzas, and whatever else you can think of! I have since ordered a mini waffle maker but using a regular waffle maker will work, just cut it in half! See the link below for the mini waffle maker on Amazon! Keep in mind, different cheeses have different carb counts so yours may be higher carb depending on the cheese you use. Monterey Jack is about 0.2 carbs per 1 ounce so a full cup would be slightly less than 2 carbs (see below for a list of the most common cheese carb count).
The recipes are endless! Add sweetener, cinnamon, and vanilla and top with butter and sugar free syrup for delicious waffles! Who said low carb was boring?!!
Have a beautiful day... please like, share, and all the good stuff!
Please share a photo of your chaffle in the comments!
