Low-carb bread in 90 seconds? Say what!?! Yes it is true!
If you eat low-carb or Keto and miss bread then this is for you. 90 Second Low Carb Bread
I have eaten low-carb off and on for over 20 years! (20 years? Da fuq!?) Yes, I know I look 12 but I have many years under my belt! I maintain my weight by eating mostly low-carb and when I start packing on the pounds I drop them quickly with a low-carb diet. (I love frosting, and chocolate, and cookies, and shit!). I have the sweetest sweet tooth in the world and low-carb helps keep my pounds in check! Why am I so excited about this recipe? Because you CANNOT have bread on a low carb diet... bread=carbs. UNLESS you eat LOW-CARB bread! You can do so much with this bread... it has a heavier texture, almost like corn bread but when you don't allow yourself bread, this low-carb bread is heaven in a mug! MUG? Yes! You make this in a mug! Super easy... Okay you ready? ![]()
Here are the ingredients... just 3! Yes you can make this with 3 ingredients but here's the deal... if you make it with just the 3 ingredients it tastes like ass! Just kidding it doesn't taste like real ass but it is pretty bland! Add seasoning!
Okay here are the REAL ingredients! Almond flour, 1 egg, baking powder, spices, and a coffee mug! You need spices for this bread. I like the Tony Chachere's Spice N' Herbs blend... it's a little spicy!
Now I use this ginormous coffee mug because I like my bread slices a little bigger... I like to feel like I'm eating a real sandwich!
Can we take a minute to talk about this coffee mug? Here is a regular sized coffee and then my monster mug. Who the fuck did they have in mind when they made this big ass mug? I drink a lot of coffee but seriously do people really need a mug this big? YOU are a serious coffee drinker if you do!
I mean for real... it's bigger than my head!
Anyway, add 1/4 cup of almond flour, 1/4 teaspoon of baking powder, 1 egg, some spices into the mug and mix! Put your big ass mug into the microwave and nuke it for 90 seconds... (you can spray the mug with spray oil before adding anything to it).
Run your knife inside the mug around the edges of the mix after it is cooked and dump it out on a plate. You may need to pound it on the plate a few times! When you dump it on the plate you get this interesting lump of fluff! Take a knife (after it cools) and cut the lump in half... you have just made bread in a mug!
Put some butter on it and top with whatever low-carb toppings you like or made a sandwich! Ooh! A breakfast sandwich! (eggs, cheese, and sausage!)
I fried mine up in some butter and made a delicious grilled cheese sandwich! nom nom nom!
So there you have it! A low-carb bread that takes 90 seconds to make... My grilled cheese had a net carb count of: 3 CARBS! Yep!
Oh you know what else would go great on this sandwich? Mother fucking BACON! BOOM!
Ingredients:
1/4 cup almond flour 1 egg 1/4 teaspoon baking powder seasoning Directions: Spray a coffee mug or bowl with oil spray, throw in your almond flour, seasonings, egg, and baking powder. Mix it real good. Microwave for 90 seconds! That's it! :)
