Who can resist chicken and dumplings? It is the ultimate in comfort food! This is quite possibly the best and easiest recipe ever! (In my humble opinion)... It is however, EXTREMELY delicious and so very, very simple to make...
Start by chopping a handful of baby carrots (approx. 4 regular sized carrots), a 1/4-1/2 onion, and 4 stalks of celery. (Use more or less veggies, depending on your taste). Put the veggies in the bottom of a crock-pot.
Lay 3-4 chicken breasts on top of the vegetables. (I used 2 LARGE breasts! heh). Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Place butter on top of chicken.
Cover chicken with cream of celery, cream of chicken, and 2 cans of chicken broth. (The picture below looks gross!)
Cover and cook for 5-6 hours. Remove chicken and shred, return to pot. Take your biscuits and cut into small squares. (I cut mine in various sizes).
Place biscuits in crock pot and cook for 45-60 minutes (stir occassionaly).
Enjoy! You won't be disappointed!

This looks good. Is is more of a soup base with all of the water? How many servings does this make?

It makes approximately 6-8 servings. The liquid thickens up so it is of a thicker consistency.
